From what we see of typical Scandinavian interiors, it’s easy to assume that to get the look, all-white walls and minimal colour is the go-to. Yes, our Nordic neighbours love a clean and refreshed look - but shades of nature have a tremendous influence on the colours and materials used inside a Scandi home.
Simplicity, lightness, and naturalness are characteristics of brown; it promises neutrality and balance. It helps create an atmosphere in which there is no place for anxiety or depression – and this is the rudimentary principle of the Scandinavian style.
