Lilla Rugs is owned by the Ahwazian family, and Camilla Stannard (née Ahwazian), the daughter of the family, manages the business from within our expansive warehouse, alongside her parents, Jacqueline and Jalil. We take great pride in being home to the largest collection of Persian rugs in London, carefully curated to cater to a wide range of tastes and preferences.
History
Our journey began in 1992 when Camilla's parents started building our extensive collection from scratch. They dedicated years to sourcing and handpicking the finest rugs from renowned weaving regions of Iran. In 2015, we relocated to our current location from our original warehouse near Manor House, North London, allowing us to accommodate over 8,000 unique handmade rugs.
In 2017, Camilla launched Lilla Rugs, infusing her own vision and passion for luxury rugs into the brand. In 2021, our warehouse underwent a rebranding from the 'Oriental Rug Centre' to 'Lilla Rugs,' marking the growth and evolution of our family-owned business. This transformation reflects our commitment to providing an exceptional experience to our valued customers.
