Mazlaqan or Maslaghan is a district near Hamadan in western Iran. It is known for the presence of nomadic peoples (Kurds, Lors and Turks). All these people have contributed to Maslaghan rugs and carpets, especially the geometric patterns associated with Nomadic rugs.
