This handmade rug is a Senneh Kilim. The city of Sanandaj in Kurdistan, in carpet context the older name is still used, Senneh. Rugs from the city of Senneh are super elegant, with a fine design and intricate patterns.

Kilim's are flat tapestry woven rugs. They are produced by tightly interweaving the warp and weft strands of the weave to produce a flat surface with no pile.
