Mashad is a city in the far north-east of Iran. The wool pile used in these rugs is known to be one of the best in the country. This one is a wool & silk pile. It is soft, whilst tight and thin. The most common colours for this type of rug are red, blues and certain shades of greens. Usually they are floral in design.

This is our largest rug at Lilla Rugs, at almost 10 metres in length! A really special piece.
