Kashan is a very old city, located in the central Isfahan province. Stunning Kashan rugs have been crafted here since the 17th century during the Safavid dynasty. Known for its beautiful architecture and exquisite holiday homes, Kashan rugs are among the most iconic Persian rugs. They typically feature a central medallion on a rich red field, framed by navy or ivory borders, embodying the classic Persian rug aesthetic. 

This rug has been deliberately distressed to give a more 'worn' and vintage appearance. The foundation of the rug remains strong in all our distressed rugs.
