Farahan is located in central Iran, south of Tehran - near the cities Arak, Kashan and Qum & was home to the original Farahan rugs. These rugs are made with a cotton foundation and have a soft, thin wool knotted in an asymmetrical way. They are known for their high quality, with beautiful natural dyes. They are one of the most durable of Persian rugs and can be very valuable. These particular Farahan designs have been weaved in Afghanistan, using 100% natural processes. They are known as our 'Eco' Farahan collection.
