Yes, we believe rugs are the ultimate piece to bring a home together. However, we also believe in the power of home accessories and how they can add warmth and individuality to a home.
It could be something as simple as a cushion, or something a little bigger like an ottoman. Let's take you through some home accessory inspiration.
Ottomans are one of our favourite additions to a room. They can be used as a foot rest, a table, or even just for decoration. If you have limited space, try adding a tray on top and getting the dual purpose of foot stool and coffee table out of it. You can keep it simple, or go for a handwoven ottoman to add some real character to the space. Our Ottoman's are filled with a very light and solid block, making it easy to move around the room.
2. WALL ART
We just can't get enough of wall art! The floors and the walls are often the most overlooked in a room, but are the make or break to a finished space. Art is something you can be truly individual and meaningful with. You can frame almost anything of meaning, from an old family portrait, to a historic piece of clothing, or a hand-woven tapestry or rug.
An easy win to warm up and add flair to any room. When we think of cushions we often limit them to a bed or sofa. But they can be used in so many more places. Why not try a statement cushion on the bench in your entrance hallway, or perhaps an array of cushion on a daybed in your kids room as a space to read stories. We can't get enough of cushions! Hopefully we will soon have our very own collection to share with you.
4. OTHER UNUSUAL PIECES
Sometimes it's all about those slightly more random, historic pieces you find. Something that is no longer made, but it intricate and beautiful. It could be the unusual piece that makes a room truly unique and individual. I would put two of our accessories in this category: khorjin saddlebags and jajims. Place a saddlebag over an old chair as a statement, or use a jajim as the most individual table runner.
