3. SOFT, MUTED TONES
Muted tone rugs are on trend because they provide a subtle and calming atmosphere to any room. They are versatile and can be used to create a variety of different looks, from classic to modern. Their muted tones allow them to blend in with a wide range of color palettes, making them a great choice for any home. They are also easy to clean and maintain, making them a great choice for busy households.
4. LAYERED PIECES - ft. NATURAL FIBRES
Rug layering is a great way to create a unique, layered look that adds depth and texture to any room. It also allows you to mix and match patterns, colours and textures to create a one-of-a-kind design that can tie a room together. Rug layering also allows you to easily switch up the look of a room without having to buy a whole new rug. It can be a useful way to stay in budget, making the main rug purchase smaller, and using the lower layer to fill the space.
Rug layering in three simple steps:
1. Start with a large, neutral-colored rug, such as a natural fibre jute rug. This will be the base of your layered look and should be the largest rug in the space.
2. Add a smaller rug in a bold colour or pattern. This rug should be placed over the larger rug and should be smaller in size.
3. Adjust the placement of the rugs until you’re happy with the look. You can overlap the edges of the rugs or have them slightly apart. Experiment until you find the right look.
5. SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS
Rugs made from sustainable materials are on trend because they are better for the environment and help reduce the amount of waste created from mass rug manufacturing. Sustainable materials are also often more durable and longer lasting than traditional materials, making them a more cost-effective option in the long run. Materials include: wool, cotton, silk, and jute.
