Kashan is one of the oldest cities in Iran. It is located in the centre of the country - in the Isfahan province. Stunning Kashan rugs have been crafted here since the 17th Century, during the Safavid dynasty. Kashan has beautiful architecture and the city is renowned for it's wonderful holiday homes. The rugs are among the most famous of all Persian rugs, and tend to be what most people think of when they hear the term 'Persian rug'.
