This is a Baluch rug (also known as Baluchi) - a handmade rug made by the Baluch nomads. The Baluch nomads are situated between Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. They also exist at a smaller scale in Bahrain and in the Punjab province of India. 

Traditionally, Baluch rugs are often small with lively patterns. The main colours are red, brown and dark blue.
